Ériu: "Matron goddess of Ireland", "land of abundance".
Each year an official Burning Man regional event is hosted in Ireland. In 2017 it was held in Stradbally Waterford. Working with concept genius Edward Wolohan, who did the original sketches, we created a design that represented the meaning of Ériu, the goddess of Ireland. Emphasis was on a celestial theme, including the four elements, Jovian clouds and Venusian fields which also represented the layout of the camping grounds. The end of the event is always commemorated with the burring of a large art structure. I included photography of fire that I had taken from a previous year's decompression event. This helped to symbolise our passions, creativity, motivations and transformations that represent the soul of the event.
